Niles joined TWS as a Partner in 2023 alongside Founder Ryan Finch, after 15 years of friendship and joint real estate investments. Niles was excited when Ryan founded TWS because had been looking for a wealth services firm with deep real estate roots and expertise. Niles brings over 20 years of Real Estate investment experience to TWS, along with his experience in operations with several multinational consumer brands. Niles looks after Strategic Operations at TWS and is a Registered Representative of Emerson Equity LLC.

In his early career he worked as a Credit Analyst at a midwest regional bank before taking those skills to a local real estate developer to work on in-fill developments in Indianapolis, Indiana. He relocated to Colorado in 2005 where he began building his own real estate portfolio while working at Starbucks and later Apple.

Niles enjoys helping educate others on money and finances, and encourages a strategic plan for wealth that provides clarity and confidence in career exits and sustainable post-professional lives.

Personal Real Estate Investment Portfolio

Niles’s early inspiration came from his college landlord and mentor, who taught him the wealth building power of investing in real estate alongside a primary career. While working for Starbucks in his early 20s, Niles began building his real estate portfolio, becoming a landlord before owning his own primary residence. His investment focus has been covered land deals with favorable zoning in urban in-fill areas. His personal portfolio has included adaptive reuse projects, ground up multifamily development, small scale industrial, and single-family home assets. To date, he has completed five successful exits and maintains an active portfolio. He was also a client of TWS before joining the firm.

Education and Personal Interests

Niles has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hillsdale College. He previously served 5years as Board Chair of the Planning and Community Development Committee for a Denver RNO, where he collaborated with neighbors, the City of Denver, and developers to support neighborhood-sensitive development.

Niles is well traveled and has lived around the world in Singapore and Indonesia with his wife and two children. He is passionate about personal growth and development, personal finance, health and fitness, and is interested in blockchain and digital currencies.
